ACCREDITATION AND REGISTRATION
The Cape Town Baptist Seminary is an official Seminary of the Baptist Union of Southern Africa (BUSA) along with its sister institution Baptist Theological College (Randburg) and is an affiliate of the Western Province Baptist Association (WPBA).
Accreditation and Registration
The Cape Town Baptist Seminary is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) as a Private Higher Education Institution (PHEI) in terms of section 53, 60 and 64 of the Higher Education Act, 1997 (No 101 of 1997, under registration No. 2000/HE08/005. The Seminary is therefore accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE), the Education and Training Quality Assurer (ETQA) to deliver the following undergraduate programmes listed on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF):
The Cape Town Baptist Seminary NPC constantly evaluates the effectiveness of its programmes in attaining its institutional objectives and may in future pursue accreditation to offer additional programmes with the relevant Further Education or Higher Education statutory bodies.
In our endeavour to offer programmes that further "Train Christian Leaders to Transform Society Biblically", Cape Town Baptist Seminary is presently in the process of applying for the accreditation and registration of the following programmes:
We anticipate these programmes becoming available as early as 2020.
The Cape Town Baptist Seminary is a registered as a Non Profit Company Reg. No. 2003/031148/08 and is a member of the Association of Private Providers of Education, Training and Development (APPETD).
